It is with regret that we are writing you to inform you that Dr. Karim Shokraee will not be providing NHS dentistry at the Vallance Dental Centre from 13th September 2022.
If you have been seen in the last 3 years, you will still be registered at the practice as a patient and your care will be transferred to Dr George Cheesman.
Dr Shokraee has written this message for his patients:
“In 11 years of clinical practice at the Vallance Dental Centre as an NHS dentist, I have been fortunate enough to build relationships with so many kind and appreciative patients. I have enjoyed getting to know so many of you and your family well. It has been a pleasure to see so many of you over the years and provide dental care and advice. The decision to cease providing NHS dentistry at the Vallance Dental Centre is one that I have not taken lightly. Due to other commitments, it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a clinical presence at the practice that satisfies both patients and myself.
I am more than confident that Dr George Cheesman is extremely capable and I am satisfied that he is the right dentist to see my list of patients. We are fortunate to have worked with Dr George Cheesman over the past 12 months and I can say with certainty that I am sure you will all be very happy to see him. George is a fantastic dentist who I have full confidence in providing all dental treatments.
As for my future, I will still maintain 2 days a week clinical practice providing dental care in a secure setting and the remainder of my time will be focused on the running of the Vallance Dental Centre and our online presence. I am exploring further education opportunities in dentistry and may return as a clinician in the future to provide private, cosmetic or specialised dental care. I will still be around most Tuesdays and some Monday mornings doing administration work so if you want to say hello, please don’t hesitate to ask for me!”
If you have an appointment already booked, you do not need to do anything. Your appointment will be transferred to Dr Cheesman. Should your appointment time and date need to be changed, we will be in touch.
